Description	LIRs are immunoglobulin-like receptors that have activating and inhibitory functions in leukocytes. Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor A5 (LILRA5) belongs to a family of receptors known to regulate leukocyte activation. LILRA5, expressed as a membrane-bound receptor and as a secreted molecule. The transmembrane LILRA5 contain a short cytoplasmic domain and a charged arginine residue within the transmembrane region that is likely to mediate its association with another coreceptor. LILRA5 is mostly expressed in myeloid cells, including monocytes and neutrophils.
