Description	Adiponectin Receptor 1 (AdipoR1) is a pivotal receptor mediating the metabolic effects of the adipokine adiponectin. AdipoR1 features seven transmembrane domains with an intracellular N-terminus and an extracellular C-terminus responsible for adiponectin binding. AdipoR1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and can activate adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK). This activation leads to the phosphorylation of ACC and the subsequent upregulation of CPT-1A, which together critically enhance mitochondrial fatty acid β-oxidation. Dysfunction in this AdipoR1-driven pathway is closely associated with impaired fatty acid oxidation and dyslipidemia. AdipoR1 represents a significant therapeutic target for metabolic disorders involving lipid dysregulation.
